The 50,000 square foot addition and renovation to the existing library building involved mechanical and electrical systems upgrades.
Electrical systems upgrade included telecommunication, new electrical service, underfloor raceway system, and fire alarm system. The lighting control system manages lighting amenities, including; recessed cove, decorative pendant, accent track, and exterior accent lighting fixtures.
Mechanical systems include three air handling units with a total cooling capacity of 105 tons, forty fan powered variable air volume terminals each with an individual space temperature sensor, and hot water heating boilers supplying variable temperature water to exterior wall radiation and terminal heating coils. A complete system of sanitary plumbing, and domestic water and storm water is provided. Fire protection is achieved via a dry pipe fire prevention sprinkler system.
This new 18,600 square foot public library was designed and constructed to accommodate the increasing needs of the community with meeting rooms; quite study areas; computer based work stations; children’s area; and library services.
The building consists of direct/indirect linear stack lighting; low voltage lighting control system, CAT5E telecommunication cabling system, multi-zone air handler units, and hot water heat.
This new 190,000 square foot justice center was completed with state-of-the-art technology. The judicial sections of the center include courtrooms, magistrate rooms, administrative offices, and court offices. The correctional sections include 125-bed detention areas, health care area, recreation areas, and dining facility.
The electrical design work encompasses addressable fire alarm system; security/access control system; audio/visual recording capabilities; interior and exterior lighting; and telecommunication networking.
