The Team Green mission….. Provide the most energy efficient and sustainable design for each individual client.

JDRM Engineering understands the importance of energy conservation and the associated benefits that are obtained for the environment, economy and community. For those reasons JDRM has taken the initiative to form a team of engineers and designers within the office to develop concepts for energy efficient and sustainable designs to benefit the client, community and environment.

Our goals are to successfully implement the latest energy codes in all projects and inform the design team and the client to synergies and trade-offs of possible sustainable designs. In addition, we strive to bring forth new ideas from all disciplines to apply them to our designs and to create a database of energy efficient design ideas.

In order to update you on the developments made or research found, JDRM Engineering will generate periodic newsletters. With each issue of the newsletter we will discuss different energy efficient design options from the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing disciplines such as the use of motion sensors, geothermal heat pump systems or waterless urinals. The benefits, trade-offs, and possible cost implications of the topics will also be given. Additionally, case studies and links to articles on various energy efficient design topics will be provided.

JDRM Engineering is a member of the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) and has multiple LEED Accredited Professionals on staff which provide the resources and expertise to aid in sustainable design. Whether a client has the desire to have a ‘green’ project or wants to go a step further and aspire to obtain a LEED Certification, JDRM Engineering is able to help.
