BGSU Sebo Student Athletic Training Center | Bowling Green, Ohio

The new 46,000 square foot student athletic training center was construction on the north end of Doyt Perry Stadium to enhance the training capacities for the students.

The training new center includes Hall of Fame Lobby; Athletic Offices, Sprint Running Track; Physical Training Areas, Video Room; and Locker Rooms.

Electrical design consisted of primary and secondary services; emergency backup power; surge protection; interior/exterior light and lighting control; telecommunication cabling and infrastructure; audio/visual; lightning protection; and addressable fire alarm system.

The HVAC design is a closed loop water source heat pump system utilizing closed circuit evaporative cooler, glycol distribution piping with supplemental heating controlled by DDC that is connected to the existing campus automation system. Energy recovery unit supplies outdoor air to the heat pumps. Heat pumps provide zone control.

City water, gas, sanitary, and storm piping extended from existing site services. Domestic hot water provided by high efficiency gas water heaters with a continuous recirculating piping arrangement.

Fire line is extended from the site service. Standpipe is provided at each required stairway. Wet pipe sprinkler system is installed throughout building. A fire pump is provided to raise the water pressure at the most remote standpipe outlet to 100PSI.

Alma College Stone Recreation Center | Alma, Michigan

The new 50,000 square foot student recreation center building meets the needs of an active student body. Designed with the current recreational interests in mind the facility contains many updated features.

The main level includes four basketball, volleyball and/or tennis courts; one is a MAC space-dasher designed for roller hockey, inline skating, and indoor soccer.

The fitness room houses numerous cardiovascular machines, weight machines, and free weights. A 600 square foot climbing wall features eight belay stations and lead climbing routes.

A suspended three lane running track overlooks the courts and a 1,750 square foot multipurpose room can be utilized for aerobics, dance, fencing, meeting room, fencing, martial arts, and other activities.

Francis Family YMCA | Bedford Township, Michigan

This one-story 50,000 square foot building was constructed in 2002. 

The recreation center is located adjacent to the Bedford High School and provides recreational opportunities for the students in addition to community members.  An added benefit to the community is the  licensed physical therapy center which occupies a portion of the building and utilizes the Y’s amenities for its patients.

Engineering design involved systems for the four recreational pools; teen center; day care center and activity area; gymnasium area; fitness and aerobics rooms; physical therapy center; Chapel; lobby (including a climbing wall); and locker rooms.  

Sauder Village Heritage Inn | Archbold, Ohio

The new 37,000 square foot/64 guest room inn located adjacent to the Historic Sauder Village expanded the existing guest facility.

 The new inn includes an indoor pool with water fall and hot tub; game and exercise rooms; gathering spaces; meeting rooms; and business center.
