Mechanical Department

Roger D. DeBelly, P.E., RCDD

President- Mechanical Engineer

  • Roger’s diverse background of 30+ years of experience allow him to address mechanical, electrical and technology system designs and issues. He is a licensed professional mechanical engineer and a Registered Commercial Distribution Designer. Roger is sought out for his work in designing mission critical (data centers), power generation, substations, and medium voltage electrical systems.
  • As President, Roger coordinates project delivery functions between all of JDRM’s departments. He leads in project management, oversees marketing/business development, and employee benefit coordination.

 

Roger became President of JDRM in 2017.

Matthew J. Hollenbeck, P.E.

Associate- Mechanical Engineer

  • Mr. Hollenbeck is a Mechanical Engineer with over 20 years of HVAC and plumbing experience, spanning multiple project and system types. He joined JDRM in 2021. His experience includes commercial, municipal, and industrial work, with significant focus in the aerospace industry, central utility plants, commercial office space, municipal water/wastewater treatment facilities, and educational facilities.
  • Systems experience includes hydronic hot and chilled water systems, DX cooling, variable volume and constant volume systems, ventilation cooling, and HVAC controls.

 

Matt became an Associate of JDRM in July 2022.

Brian P. Marvin

Associate- Plumbing Designer

  • Mr. Marvin has over 30 years of design experience.  He is extremely knowledgeable in plumbing, medical gas and fire protection systems with experience in the healthcare, educational, industrial and commercial markets. He has been a Plumbing Designer at JDRM since 1998. His project responsibilities include design, and specifications for plumbing project requirements.

 

Brian became an Associate of JDRM in July 2022.

Douglas C. Hohman, P.E. LEED AP

Senior Partner- Mechanical Engineer

  • Mr. Hohman is Principal in charge and Vice President of the mechanical department with over 25 years of experience. Doug has extensive experience in the design of HVAC systems for Healthcare, Education (both K-12 and Higher Ed), Commercial and Institutional facilities.  He has done many specialized projects including central geothermal plants, and large air cooled, and water cooled VRF systems.  His broad knowledge base, including plumbing and fire protection system design, allows him to help determine which systems are right for each application.

 

Doug became a Partner in 2014 and a managing Senior Partner of JDRM in 2017.

Jeffrey D. Stringham

Senior Partner- Mechanical Engineer

  • Mr. Stringham is the Mechanical Department Manager with a special focus on AutoCAD and specification standards. He oversees financial reporting, accounting and bookkeeping functions for JDRM Engineering. His 30+ years of engineering includes Healthcare, Educational, and Commercial/Retail projects.

 

Jeff became a Senior Partner of JDRM in 2002.

Alison L. Staudinger, P.E. LEED AP BD+C

Partner- Mechanical Engineer

  • Mrs. Staudinger champions our Green/LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) initiatives through her fundamental belief in sustainability.  She also leads 3-dimensional BIM (Building Information Modeling) development. You will find her knowledge goes beyond computer and USGBC requirements into extensive real-world experience with educational, commercial, manufacturing and health care clients.

 

Alison became a Partner of JDRM in 2014.

Matthew D. Rasey, P.E.

Partner- Mechanical Engineer

  • Mr. Rasey is a Mechanical Engineer who joined JDRM in 2015 and specializes in heat transfer concepts, mechanical systems and utilities engineering for services including steam, compressed air, chilled water, and space HVAC. He works primarily in the industrial design market and his experience also includes material specifications and sanitary design practices. He was named an Associate in 2016.

 

Matt was named a Partner of JDRM in July 2022.

Electrical Department

Ryan K. Brown, P.E.

Associate- Electrical Engineer

  • Mr. Brown is an Electrical Engineer with a B.S.E.E. degree from the University of Toledo. He has been with JDRM since 2007. His responsibilities include lighting and lighting control design, lighting photometric calculations, power and electrical system design, fire alarm, specifications, and client coordination.

 

Ryan became an Associate of JDRM in July 2022.

Brandon A. Stotz, P.E., CESCP

Associate- Electrical Safety Engineer

  • Mr. Stotz serves as a Project Designer of the Electrical Safety Department for JDRM since 2015.  His project responsibilities include client coordination, project design, specifications, photometric calculations and CAD.  He has significant experience with Arc Flash/Electrical System Analysis, standard electrical building design (lighting, power, fire alarm), and medium voltage distribution design. Brandon is a Certified Electrical Safety Compliance Professional (CESCP) and does Electrical Safety Training in three employee classifications: Qualified, Unqualified, and Supervisor educating those on NFPA 70E.

 

Brandon became an Associate of JDRM in July 2022.

Darren T. Keil, P.E.

Senior Partner- Electrical Engineer

  • Mr. Keil is the Principal-in-Charge of the electrical engineering and technology departments at JDRM Engineering. He is often sought out for his expertise by both clients who know the tremendous value he brings as well as staff members who wish to explore ideas and concepts for projects.  Darren leads the area in alternative energy facility design through his special focus on solar array fields. Darren oversees all professional liability and legal matters for JDRM in addition to his work in commercial, religious, K-12 and higher education, and power distribution project work.

 

Darren became a Senior Partner of JDRM in 2002.

David Desjardins, P.E., LEED AP

Senior Partner- Electrical Engineer

  • Mr. Desjardins manages both the electrical department and the Arc Flash department at JDRM, coordinating staffing and human resources for these groups and the administrative staff as well.  An engineer since 1995, Dave’s project focus is mainly in the health care, institutional, and higher education sectors.

 

Dave became a managing Senior Partner and Secretary of JDRM in 2015.

Andy T. Juette, E.I., LEED AP

Partner- Electrical Engineer

  • Mr. Juette is a dynamic electrical designer with a keen ability to envision solutions and ask the right questions to ensure success. His expertise is welcomed and sought out on medical projects and has expanded through educational/institutional work into industrial projects as well. He was the project lead on our First Solar Module Manufacturing Facilities.

 

Andy became a Partner of JDRM in January 2019.

Lawrence T. Juette, P.E.

Founder- Partner Emeritus- Electrical Engineer

  • The “J” in JDRM, Larry was at the helm when the firm was formed and was a strong proponent of an ownership evolution process.  He was the first person to step aside from an ownership role in the firm in 2010, making way for the next generation of leadership.  His active involvement in the firm is greatly appreciated.  You’ll find Larry involved in design work, project management, mentorship of young engineers, and many aspects of the electrical design division.

Robert L. Kalb, P.E.

Partner Emeritus- Electrical Engineer

  • Mr. Kalb is just the second person to hand over the ownership reins in the firm’s evolutionary process and is a sought-after electrical engineer with experience in several specialty areas including on-site generation and medium voltage motor control. He has 50 years experience in medium voltage distribution and emergency power systems for Universities, healthcare campuses, and municipal water and wastewater treatment plants.

Matt Steffin

Associate- Electrical Designer

  • Matt is an electrical designer who leads the Arc Flash group at JDRM Engineering. Matt has been with JDRM since its inception in 1995 and has become an integral part of our electrical group. He is proficient in SKM Modeling software, PVsyst modeling software, AC/DC distribution, grounding systems, and production models.

 

Matt became an Associate of JDRM in 2016.

Christopher P. Lockett, E.I.

Associate- Electrical Designer

  • Mr. Lockett has been with the firm since 1995 while he was still in college. He has developed into a strong electrical engineer.  His project responsibility includes project design and specifications, client coordination supervision of designers’ work. He has most of his experience as an electrical designer for K-12 Schools and Higher education buildings.

 

Chris became an Associate of JDRM in 2004.

Technology Department

Steve C. Wheeler, RCDD

Partner and Technology Division Manager

  • Mr. Wheeler brings to the team what every firm strives for. He is a solid electrical designer. Steve’s RCDD credentials and knowledge of systems has made him the go-to-guy for information technologies, security, communications, surveillance and alarms. Realizing the need for emergency responder radio signal testing and in-building amplification to meet updated codes, Steve researched the requirements and lead JDRM’s efforts to provide clients with this critical service. Steve joined JDRM Engineering in 2005, has 40+ years of design/project management experience, serves as the Manager of our Technology Division.

 

Steve was named a Partner of JDRM in January 2019.

Tom Rawlings, RCDD, ESS

Associate- Technology Designer

  • Mr. Rawlings is the only person in Northwest Ohio to hold both the Registered Commercial Distribution Designer and the Electronic Safety and Security Designer credentials. He joined JDRM in 2001 and is experienced in all facets of building communication system design as well as access control, security and closed-captioned television (CCTV) systems.

 

Tom became an Associate of JDRM in 2016.

Thomas Lamont Dixon

Associate- Fire Alarm Designer

  • Mr. Thomas Lamont Dixon is a NICET Level III Certified Fire Alarm Professional which qualifies him to certify and seal fire alarm design submissions for the permit office. Lamont joined JDRM Engineering in 1998.  Project responsibilities include design and production of installation drawings for Electrical, Life Safety, Security, Fire Alarm and Technology Systems.

 

Lamont became an Associate of JDRM in July 2022.
